SRC joins leading mid-market advisory firm
Toronto, ON – Sone Rovet Chasson LLP (“SRC”) is proud to announce it has joined Melo LLP (“Melo”), a leading Southwestern Ontario advisory firm, effective March 22, 2024. Going forward, SRC will be branded under the Melo banner.
The leadership, management and staffing structure of SRC will not change as a result of this union. Moreover, as part of the Melo group, SRC and its clients will benefit in several key ways, most notably through expanded service capabilities, greater access to professional resources, increased operational efficiencies and a clear growth and succession plan for the future.
Ensuring seamless continuity both internally and externally, SRC Senior Partner Marla Chasson Sone will now serve as Toronto Managing Partner. Working directly with Jason Melo and Mark Danelon – Melo Chairman & Founding Partner and Melo CEO, respectively – Chasson Sone will spearhead the expansion of the Melo group in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) market.
“My Senior Partners – Howard Sone and Randy Rovet – and I are thrilled to unite with the Melo group, guided by a shared vision to define ourselves as one of the country’s premier mid-market CPA advisory firms,” says Chasson Sone. “Melo is a remarkable organization with a progressive culture, exceptional team members and an impressive growth story. We are excited about this transformative opportunity to begin the next chapter of our journey with Melo. We simply could not ask for a better partner.”
For the Melo group, this is the latest in a series of carefully mapped alliances that have steadily propelled the firm’s market growth and presence in its Windsor‑Essex County homebase and beyond. Most importantly, this newest strategic partnership reflects Melo’s ongoing commitment to seeking out and uniting with likeminded firms, all with a focus on providing an elevated level of expertise and service to both established and emerging businesses.
“Through our entrepreneurial spirit and desire to bring more to the table for our valued clients, we have become a dominant business advisory name in the Southwestern Ontario market, so expansion into the GTA is a natural and logical progression for us,” says Jason Melo. “Of course, we wanted to do it right, and the more we got to know Marla and her team, it was clear our values and vision just meshed. I have no doubt this alliance will not only accelerate, but catapult Melo’s standing as one of the fastest growing mid‑market CPA advisory firms in the province.”
